THE REALITY OF DISC PAIN
I've stopped doing
everything I love. Will I be
stuck like this forever?
The pain of a bulging or herniated disc can feel like it's swallowing up your entire life. You used to be active, but now you can't exercise, sit through work, or even play with your kids.
Ordinary movements - brushing your teeth, sneezing, reaching for something in the back seat - lead to excruciating flare-ups. Some days it feels impossible to think about anything except the pain.
You've tried to fix your back. Medication, physical therapy, injections. You did
what you were told to do, only to end up frustrated and still in pain.
You want to avoid surgery if possible. Or maybe you already had it... and you're still in pain. Doctors have dismissed your symptoms, given you conflicting advice, or told you to "just rest."
But it's hard to heal when you can't sleep through the night, or ever get comfortable. After months - or even years - of this... it's understandable if you've started to lose hope that your body will ever feel normal again.
But what if your life didn't have to revolve around pain anymore?
You may not need surgery to get your life back.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR CONDITION
Your discs sit between each of the vertebrae in your back, acting like shock absorbers to cushion the impact of your every movement.
When these discs are damaged, the jelly-like material inside them can bulge outward — or even push completely through the outer layer of the disc.
That’s what’s pressing against the nerves in your spinal column, causing pain, numbness, sciatica and other symptoms. And that’s exactly what the DRX9000 is designed to address.

A DIFFERENT PATH FORWARD
The DRX9000 is a non-surgical, drug-free treatment designed specifically for disc-related back pain. Unlike more basic traction tables, this precision spinal decompression treatment:
✔ Uses a gentle, controlled motion designed to avoid triggering painful muscle spasms
✔ Can target a specific disc in your back with precision
✔ Continuously adjusts throughout treatment to keep therapy precise and comfortable
By gently creating space between your spinal vertebrae, the machine helps reduce pressure within the disc, which may allow bulging material to retract naturally over time.
As pressure on the nerves decreases, you may start to experience relief from symptoms like sciatica, numbness, pain and muscle spasms — making everyday movements feel comfortable again.
My whole life had come to a halt from my normal routine. Walking was almost impossible, and therefore every aspect of life was impacted.
After treatments, my life has returned to normal. The stretching table allowed my discs to shrink back and took the pressure off the nerve.

WHY PATIENTS CHOOSE US
When you’re dealing with persistent pain from bulging or herniated discs, the treatment itself is only part of the equation. How well your condition is understood — and how closely your progress is monitored along the way — is just as important.
The recommended treatment for spinal decompression therapy is approximately 28 minutes. However, some clinics shorten sessions significantly, limiting them to only 15 minutes. At Frisco Spinal Rehab, we follow the full recommended treatment duration so you get the most benefit from each session.
Full 28-minute sessions, every time
Many of our patients come to us after months — or even years — of frustrating treatments that never addressed the root cause of their pain. That’s why Doctor reviews your MRI personally, rather than relying solely on symptoms or X-rays. This helps us identify exactly which disc is involved and whether decompression is the right fit.
Personal MRI review by the Doctor
We stay actively involved throughout your treatment, monitoring how you respond and adjusting the plan if needed. This ongoing approach is especially important for complex or long-standing disc issues. Small differences in how treatment is delivered can have a meaningful impact on pain levels, mobility, and day-to-day comfort over time.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know before booking your consultation.
The best way to know if the DRX9000 is the right treatment for you is with a consultation and MRI review. We’ll take a close look at your condition and let you know whether spinal decompression would be helpful for your specific disc issue.
This treatment may be a good fit if you:
. Have bulging or herniated discs
. Experience sciatica, numbness or nerve pain
. Want to avoid surgery if possible
. Haven’t improved with rest, PT or injections
. Feel frustrated after months or years of ongoing pain
No. Most patients describe it as feeling like a gentle stretch for the spine, and say it’s comfortable and relaxing. In fact, many find it comfortable enough to relax or even fall asleep during treatment.
You may feel a carefully controlled gentle pulling or stretching sensation in the spine as pressure is reduced between the vertebrae.
Yes. The DRX9000 is an FDA-cleared spinal decompression system designed to apply targeted traction to the spine. Your treatment will be monitored and adjusted by our clinical team.
This really depends on your specific condition, including how long you’ve been dealing with the problem and how severe the disc injury is.
Some patients notice early changes within the first few visits, while others improve more gradually over a full course of treatment.
Because everyone’s spine is different, we don’t use a one-size-fits-all plan. After your MRI review, we’ll outline a recommended treatment plan and give you a clearer idea of what your timeline is likely to look like.
The DRX9000 can be effective for patients who are still experiencing ongoing pain after an operation, but it depends on the type of surgery you had and the cause of your current symptoms. Many people with persistent back or leg pain after procedures such as a discectomy or laminectomy may still be candidates. However, the DRX9000 is not appropriate for everyone. Patients with certain spinal fusions, implanted hardware, spinal instability, or other specific conditions may not be candidates.
At Frisco Spinal Rehab, we carefully review your MRI, surgical history, and current symptoms before recommending treatment. If we don't believe the DRX9000 is likely to help, we'll tell you and discuss other treatment options that may be more appropriate. Our goal is to recommend the approach most likely to improve your pain and function-not simply to put every patient on the DRX9000.
Coverage varies depending on your provider and plan. Our team can check your benefits and explain your options before you begin treatment.
If you’re not a candidate or you’re in the small percentage that doesn’t respond to treatment, you’ll at least have a clearer understanding of your condition and next steps. The goal is to help you make an informed decision without unnecessary procedures or risk.
